This year's charity

A Happy New year to everyone. Hoping that 2016 will be good to all of you including your dogs.

Just to confirm that every time you book a place on a "Scent : Detect : Find" course during 2016 you will be helping to support Southern Counties German Shepherd Rescue. A portion of any profits made will be donated to this extremely deserving charity. Take a look at their FB page (and website) to see the work they do.

Those of you who have liked the "Scent : Detect : Find" FB page have already started to raise money for the charity. Thankyou ... every penny really does count!

Invitation from "Dogtaggs"

If you would like to attend a three day course in the heart of beautiful Dorset then take a look at the Dogtaggs Fb page. I've been invited as a guest trainer for two 3 day courses on the 7th, 8th and 9th August and then the 16th, 17th and 18th October.

Dogtaggs have a deservedly excellent reputation as providers of top quality courses for pet dog owners, trainers and behaviourists with specialist interests in Sheep tending and Tracking. You never know, you might leave Dorset with a whole new set of hobbies!

Fantastic weekend Course
We had such a great time. Course partcipants included two Miniature poodles, one Labrador x Collie, a GSD and, last, but by no means least, a lovely collie from the Border Collie Trust.

Everyone worked and worked and worked ... so much so that we had to have a really quiet last thirty minutes of the course ... just chatting through the weekends events and planning how best to work with each dog over the coming weeks.

Looking forward to the next course with Dogtaggs in February.

By popular request
Once again, thank you to everyone who has
booked a place on one of this year's courses. Your support has been simply overwhelming and a big confirmation that this form of Scent Detecting is a much needed addition within the doggy world.

All courses are now fully booked until November and, because of continuing requests for places before this, I have managed to put on an additional course in June. Please see the courses page for further details. Places will be allocated on a first come basis.

Remember ... you can attend as many courses as you wish because your training will continue at whatever level you have reached.

And ... you never know ... you could go home with a very happy dog that looks something like this ....

Coming to a venue Near you ...
I am delighted to confirm that a new venue has been secured at Emery Down in the New Forest. Hopefully this will help those of you in the South access the courses more easily.

Already the January 2017 and March 2017 three day courses are fully booked but there should be more dates coming soon for anyone who has missed out this time around.

Ongoing Support Sessions

Tonight saw the start of the new ongoing support sessions. Places are available to anyone who has attended at least one of the 2 or 3 day courses.

The sessions last for 2 hrs and are designed to keep dog and handler teams working on their skills between the course dates. Everyone who attended worked really hard and, probably because of the very limited time , focused on what they needed to do to ensure they got the most from the session.

Looking forward to the next one. All sessions are now FULLY BOOKED until the end of the summer. New dates are in place ready for the start of Autumn. If you'd like to access any of these sessions just get in touch. The only pre-requisite is that you and your dog have already attended a 2 or 3 day course.
