One Day Events and Two,Three and Four Day Courses
These intensive (but FUN) courses and events will help you create your very own scent detecting dog.
All courses and Events are suitable for;
- any pet dog owner, trainer or behaviourist who is new to scent detecting work
- anyone who has attended a previous "Scent : Detect : Find" course and would like to continue to refine their skills
- anyone who has attended other nose-work courses and would like to work on a 'passive' indication.
Training is always at your dog's own pace but will include;
- familiarising your dog to a particular scent and helping him form a positive association with it
- teaching a 'passive' indication
- starting to search. Depending on progress this might include boxes, rooms, cars, people .... leading, eventually, to water searches and buried Treasure!
All ages and breeds of dog are very welcome to attend including those who might find it difficult to work in training situations where other dogs are present. You and your dog will be working individually, with support and guidance throughout, to ensure that all training is focused on you and your dog's Particular needs.
